Co-located with the 2008 Donna Reed Festival was a
Iowa Motion Picture Association's One-Week Movie Camp
that focused on an immersive five-day program of
basics in writing, directing, camera operation, audio,
lighting, and computer-based digital editing. Students
from both workshops collaborated to create, write,
cast, shoot, and edit a complete film that was debuted
at the Donna Reed Festival Awards Showcase.
The film a2+b2=jeff2
follows student Jeff Brooks as he grapples with the mysteries
of geometry
for an all important standardized math test - failure is not
an option.
