John Mahon

John Mahon graduated from the University of Scranton with a degree in classical languages and worked in chemical engineering before turning to theater.

Appearances as an actor include the New York Shakespeare Festival production of Arturo Vi and Subject to Fits. He was nominated best actor by the New York Drama Critics for his work in Nobody Hears a Broken Drum. He appeared on Broadway with Al Pacino in Richard III and toured opposite Tammy Grimes in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie.

He has also directed productions of Camelot, Hair, and Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf. He won a directing award for That Championship Season starring Broderick Crawford. TV appearances include Hunter, Hooperman, M.A.S.H. and Amen. His films include Nikita, The Exorcist, and Bad Influence.
