Thank you.   Scholarship Finalists, 1987 - 2009 Each year, the Donna Reed Foundation for the Performing Arts awards scholarships to individuals who qualify for post secondary education and desire to pursue an education or a career in the performing arts. Applications are currently accepted in the categories of acting, vocal and musical theater. Regarded as one of the nation's most prestigious scholarship competitions, the scholarship program offers significant awards nationally, regionally and locally, attracting some of the finest talent in the United States. Finalists and scholarship recipients are invited to perform at a Scholarship Concert, held during the Festival each year. Ms. Freeman (1923-2001), star of stage, television and screen, was a favorite acting and comedy instructor at the Donna Reed Workshops. Students are nominated based on Kathleen's unique personality and work ethic. Commitment. Passion. Willingness to try anything. Unfailing aid to fellow performers. High energy. Good humor. Eagerness. This award is for more than talent or appearance. It is for that special quality that defines the performing artist's mentality.
