A 10/25 connection to Donna

October 25th Birthdays

Two actors with an October 25th birthday guest-starred on The Donna Reed Show.

Marion Eileen Ross (born October 25, 1928) is best known as the mother, Marion Cunningham, on the ABC television sitcom Happy Days, on which she starred from 1974 to 1984 and received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations. She guest-starred on The Donna Reed Show in “Flowers for the Teacher” (Season 2, Episode 9).

Whit Bissell (October 25, 1909 – March 5, 1996) came to Hollywood in the 1940s, and by the time he retired he had appeared in more than 200 movies and scores of TV series. He is best known for playing the evil scientist who turned Michael Landon into a half beast in the 1957 cult classic film I Was a Teenage Werewolf (1957). He appeared with Donna Reed in the film, Three Hours to Kill (1954) and again, as a guest star, on The Donna Reed Show in "Whatever You Wish" (Season 6, Episode 3).
