Dana Andrews (January 1, 1909 – December 17, 1992).
Carver Dana Andrews was an American film actor and a major Hollywood star during the 1940s. He continued acting in less prestigious roles into the 1980s. He is remembered for his role as war veteran Fred Derry in The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) for which he received the most critical praise.
He appears with Donna Reed in the low-budget film Three Hours to Kill (1954). A New York Times review mused: "It's hard to imagine how Dana Andrews and Donna Reed, the latter still clutching last year's supporting actress Oscar, got involved in the lukewarm little Columbia western ... However, the performances are competent enough."
