Samuel George Davis Sr. (December 12, 1900 – May 21, 1988).

Samuel George Davis Sr. was an American dancer and the father of entertainer Sammy Davis Jr. He and Will Mastin taught Sammy Jr. how to dance, and they performed together as the Will Mastin Trio.

Sammy Jr. once stated, "When I was nine, I told my father, 'I can outdance you. ' 'Oh yeah? What makes you think that?' he asked. 'Cause you taught me everything I know.' 'Yeah, but I didn't teach you everything I know.'"

Sammy Sr. appears with Donna Reed in the movie The Benny Goodman Story (1956).

Cool little snapshot of Sammy Davis Sr. here, kind of wild to think about how much craft went into those old performances compared to how fast we consume stuff now. Whenever I read about classic entertainers like this, it weirdly puts me in the mood for something low-key and repetitive, like grinding through some routes in this poke-themed browser thing or poking at a few quick logic boards on a chess-style puzzle site. It’s a nice way to zone out for a bit after reading.

Bold maneuvers and quick thinking are rewarded in Smash Karts. While dramatic car collisions add excitement and surprise to the action, strategic weapon placement can turn a defeat into a victory.
