Stephanie Zimbalist (born October 8, 1956).
Stephanie Zimbalist is an American actress best known for her role as Laura Holt in the NBC detective series, Remington Steele.
Her appearance in the TV film, The Best Place to Be (1979), starring her father, Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. and Donna Reed, helped launch her acting career. It also marked Donna Reed's return to acting after 13 years.

I always adored Donna Reed, but reading how she actively mentored young actresses behind the scenes makes me respect her legacy even more. True Hollywood kindness is rare. We were watching some classic television episodes last night with my two kids, trying to introduce them to the golden era of family sitcoms. Her expressions were just perfectly timeless. In fact, I recently used a Video Frame Extractor to grab a very clear still image of her signature smile from an old scene to use as a nostalgic screensaver today. Thank you so much for keeping her wonderful memory alive here!
I absolutely loved reading this wonderful piece about Donna Reed! She always exuded such natural grace on screen, but hearing about how she actively mentored and supported young talent behind the scenes makes me respect her legacy even more. Hollywood could definitely use more of that genuine kindness today. I was actually showing some classic television clips to my children this weekend to share a bit of nostalgia. One old recording was so massive I had to run it through a Video Compressor just to save it properly on my iPad for them. Thank you for sharing this beautiful story!

It's great to learn that Best Place to Be was such a career launchpad for Stephanie Zimbalist. I was just thinking about classic TV movies while taking a break with a game of Doodle Baseball.
