Fay Bainter (December 7, 1893 – April 16, 1968).
Fay Okell Bainter was an American film and stage actress. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Jezebel (1938) and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
She played Donna Reed's mother in the film The Human Comedy (1943). Watch her as she guest stars on The Donna Reed Show in The Baby Buggy (Season 5, Episode 11) playing the part of an elderly baby doctor.
