Lux Radio Theatre was a classic radio anthology series that adapted Broadway plays and films for a 60-minute performance before live studio audiences. The series strove to feature as many of the original stars of the original stage and film productions as possible. In this radio broadcast, Donna Reed joined Dana Andrews who was reprising his film role.
"Deep Waters" is a 1948 drama film based on the 1946 novel Spoonhandle written by Ruth Moore. It was nominated for a 1949 Oscar for Best Special Effects (specifically, for the storm at sea sequence), but lost to Portrait of Jennie.
