Richard Deacon (May 14, 1921 – August 8, 1984).
Richard Deacon was an American television and motion picture actor, best known for playing recurring roles in television shows such as Mel Cooley on The Dick Van Dyke Show, Fred Rutherford on Leave It To Beaver, and a barber on The Jack Benny Program.
He appears in four episodes of The Donna Reed Show: “It’s the Principle of the Thing” (Season 1, Episode 18); “Higher Learning” (Season 3, Episode 8); “The Electrical Storm” (Season 4, Episode 9); and “The Baby Buggy” (Season 5, Episode 11).
