Doodles Weaver (May 11, 1911 – January 17, 1983).

Winstead Sheffield Glenndenning Dixon "Doodles" Weaver was an American character actor, comedian, and musician. He began his career in the 1940s as a comedian on radio and touring with the Spike Jones Music Revue. In 1951, he broke into television with NBC's "The Doodles Weaver Show" going on to appear on TV shows Batman, Land of the Giants, Dragnet, The Andy Griffith Show, and The Monkees. He appeared in more than 90 films, including The Great Imposter (1961), The Birds (1963), and The Nutty Professor (1963).


Weaver appeared in four episodes of The Donna Reed Show: “Jeff, the Treasurer” (Season 3, Episode 33); “The Mustache” (Season 3, Episode 37); “The Fortune Teller” (Season 4, Episode 31); and “The Handy Man” (Season 5, Episode 28).
