It's a Wonderful Life on radio


December 29, 1947 - Screen Guild Players air It's a Wonderful Life.

Screen Guild Theater was created to help raise funds for the Motion Picture Relief Fund which maintained the Motion Picture Country Home. The salary usually paid to the stars went to the fund. The Motion Picture Country Home offered assistance to people in the motion picture industry from retired actors to security guards to set designers.


This Screen Guild Players broadcast is the second radio adaptation of It's a Wonderful Life. Donna Reed and Jimmy Stewart reprise their film roles.
