Saycon Sengbloh

Saycon Sengbloh (born October 23, 1977) is a Donna Reed Foundation

1966 National Scholarship winner in the categories of Acting and Musical Theatre.


She went on to establish a career as an actress and singer. She was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play and won a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Play and an Obie Award for Outstanding Performance for her role in Danai Gurira's play Eclipsed in 2016.


She recently wrapped up filming

Respect, an upcoming American biographical drama film based on the life of American singer Aretha Franklin starring Jennifer Hudson. The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on January 15, 2021.
