Jerry Lewis (March 16, 1926 – August 20, 2017).

Jerry Lewis (born Joseph Levitch), nicknamed "The King of Comedy", was an American comedian, actor, singer, filmmaker, and humanitarian, who appeared in over sixty films and other media.


In addition to his work behind the scenes as a director, producer, and screenwriter, he raised awareness for muscular dystrophy during his 55 years as national chairman and spokesman of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, most notably through his Labor Day telethon.


Donna Reed appears with Lewis and Dean Martin in The Caddy (1953). Variety gave the film a favorable review citing "humor with heart" and "strong comedy routines" adding up to "excellent comedy results." Donna Reed is said to have performed her role "attractively."
