June 28, 1948 - Lux Theater airs You Were Meant for Me.

Lux Radio Theater ran on the NBC Blue Network (1934 to 1935), CBS (1935-1954), and NBC (1954-1955). It transferred to television in the early 1950s where it ran through most of the decade.


During its first two seasons, Lux Radio Theater adapted Broadway plays and later turned to adapt popular Hollywood films for the radio. It became the most popular dramatic anthology series on radio.


This broadcast of You Were Meant For Me has Dan Daily reprising his role from the 1948 film and Donna Reed in the role originally played by Jeanne Crain.
