September 28, 1954 - Lux Radio Theater airs radio adaption of “How Green Was My Valley" with Donald Crisp and Donna Reed.
Lux Radio Theatre was a classic radio anthology series that adapted Broadway plays and films for a 60-minute performance before live studio audiences. The series strove to feature as many of the original stars of the original stage and film productions as possible. In this radio broadcast, Donna Reed joined Donald Crisp who was reprising his film role.
The film tells the story of the Morgans, a hard-working Welsh mining family, from the point of view of the youngest child Huw, who lives with his affectionate and kind parents, and his five brothers, in the South Wales valleys during the late Victorian era.
