Paul Winchell with Jerry Mahoney

Paul Winchell (December 21, 1922 – June 24, 2005).

Paul Winchell was an American ventriloquist, comedian, actor, voice artist, humanitarian, and inventor whose career flourished in the 1950s and 1960s. From 1950 to 1954, he hosted The Paul Winchell Show which ran during prime time on NBC.


He made two guest appearances on The Donna Reed Show. He appears in The Chinese Horse (Season 5, Episode 18) and All Those Dreams (Season 5, Episode 31). Neither involved the use of a ventriloquist dummy.
